To design a new line of pharmaceutical high-end product, targeted towards a younger target audience.
Many pharmaceutical products have similar packaging, making it difficult for consumers to distinguish between them, and can be unappealing to certain audiences. To solve that problem, Personnelle is looking to expand their pharmaceutical line by creating high-end products that are mostly targeted towards younger generations. This more elevated packaging would allow the brand to be more recognisable among the pharmacy shelves and expand their audience.
Various approaches were considered to arrive at the final product, which began with experimenting with textures. Multiple options such as flat visuals, silkscreenning, and others were explored. Eventually, it was determined that a vinyl sticker applied to a glass container would be the most compelling choice because they would be able to showcase the product and would stand out from the typical plastic and cardboard containers seen on the shelves. Different colors palettes were then explored, but the simple yet sophisticated use of white type on a black background was the most relevant for this design.
Although this project was more challenging because of its many explorations, both visual and technical, it made me learn a lot about my creative process. This design being out of my comfort zone, I had to stay open-minded on the outcome, which made me able to create something that I never would have done. The resulting design is a visually engaging and sophisticated product packaging, that stands out from the typical pharmaceutical packaging and showcases the product in a unique and interesting way.
